Zohar: Vayechi (Vol 7), The Image

Hoy no tendré oportunidad de poner reflexión o afinación. les comparto algo entonces que yo obtuve en una clase del grandioso Maestro David Gyham, una porcióndel Zohar de cuando se lleva a cabo la lectura de la sombre. recuerden que las letras hebreas se escannean de derecha (compartir) a izquierda (recibir). No importa si no entienden perfecto el contenido, las letras son las que transportan en este caso la vibración. Un beso y regreso prontito

קַדִּישָׁא, כַד אָזֵיל ב"נ וְאִתְרַבֵּי, וְאִתְעֲבֵיד מֵהַאי פַּרְצוּפָא דְּיוֹקְנָה 200 . תָּא חֲזֵי, הַאי צֶלֶ

$ כַּחֲדָא, וְדָא נָטֵיל לְדָא, בְּשַׁעְתָּא דְּאִשְׁתַּכְּחוּ תְּרֵי $ דִילֵיהּ , אִתְעֲבֵיד צוּלְמָא אָחֳרָא, וּמִתְחַבְּרָ

, נָטֵיר הוּא ב"נ, וְגוּפָא דִילֵיהּ בְּקִיּוּמָא, וְרוּחֵיהּ שַׁרְיָא בְּגַוֵּיהּ . $ צוּלְמִי

200. Come and see this holy image. When a man grows and his shape is made AND

COMPLETED by a face, another image is made and joins THE FIRST ONE, each embracing the

other. When a man has two images, he is protected and his body lives with a spirit abiding

within it.

מִנֵּיהּ , וְדָא סָלֵיק לְדָא, וְאִשְׁתָּאַר בַּר נָשׁ בְּלָא נְטִיר ו, $ 201 . בְּשַׁעְתָּא דְּקָרִיבוּ יוֹמוֹי, מִתְעַבְרָ

: תְּרֵי. וְנָסוּ הַצְּלָלִי עַד שֶׁיָּפוּחַ הַיּוֹ $ כְּדֵי

201. When his time draws near for him to die, the images (Heb. tzelamim) depart from him, the

one causes the other to depart SINCE THEY ARE JOINED TOGETHER. The man remains without

protection, in accordance with the verse, “Before the day cools, and the images (Heb. tzelalim)

flee away” (Shir Hashirim 2:17), NOT SAYING ‘SHADOW’ BUT ‘SHADOWS,’ NAMELY two – AS WE

SAID.

$ הוּא יָתֵיב עַל כָּרְסֵי דְּדִינָא לְמֵידַ ) 202 . תָּא חֲזֵי, כַּד אִתְעַר דִּינָא בְּעַלְמָא, דְּקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִי ְ

כְּתִיב ו, $ עַלְמָא, בָּעֵי ב"נ לְאַתְעָרָא תְּשׁוּבָה, דְּיֵיתוּב מֵחִיּוּבָא, דְּהָא הַהוּא יוֹמָא, פִּתְקִי

דַּעֲלֵיהּ . $ פִּתְקִי $ , אִי זָכֵי ב"נ דְּיֵיתוּב קַמֵּי מָארֵיהּ , קָרְעִי $ וּמִשְׁתַּכְּחֵי כֻּלְּהוּ בְּ אַחְמָתָא הָא כְתִיבִי

202. Come and see, When Judgment awakens in the world and the Holy One, blessed be He,

sits on His throne of justice to sentence the world ON ROSH HASHANAH (THE NEW YEAR), a man

should awaken to repent his sins. For on that day, letters are written and put in a bag all written

down. If a man succeeded and returned IN REPENTANCE before his Master, the letters

concerning him are torn.

קַמֵּיהּ דְב"נ, יוֹמָא דְכִפּוּרֵי יוֹמָא דִתְשׁוּבָה, אִי תָב מֵחֶטְאוֹי $ הוּא זַמִּי ) 203 . לְבָתַר קוּדְשָׁא בְּ רִי ְ

, וַוי דְּהָא תְּשׁוּבָה בַּעְיָא לְאִסְתַּלָּקָא מִנֵּיהּ . $ פִּתְקִי טַב. וְאִי לָא, פַּקֵּיד מַלְכָּא לְמִחְתַּ

203. After that, the Holy One, blessed be He, prepared Yom Kippur for man. If he repents his

sins, it is well. If not, the King commands to seal the letters. Woe to him, for repentance is about

to depart from him.

לֵיהּ עַד הַהוּא יוֹמָא בַּתְרָאָה דַּעֲצֶרֶת, $ 204 . אִי זָכֵי בִּתְשׁוּבָה, וְלָא שְׁלֵימָתָא כִּדְקָא יָאוֹת, תַּלְיָי

$ דְּהוּא תְּמִינָאָה לֶחָג, וְאִי עֲבַד תְּשׁוּבָה שְׁלֵימָתָא לְקַמֵּי מָארֵיהּ , אִתְקְרָע ו. וְאִי לָא זָכֵי, אִינוּ

תוּ $ לָא מְהַדְּרָ $ בִּידוֹי דְּסַנְטֵירָא, וְדִינָא מִתְעֲבֵיד, וּפִתְקִי $ מִבֵּי מַלְכָּא, וְאִתְמַסְּרָ $ נָפְקִי $ פִּתְקִי

לְבֵי מַלְכָּא.

204. If he attains repentance, yet it is not whole, the letter is withheld until the last day called

Atzeret (Eng. ‘gathering’), which is the eighth day of Sukkot (Holiday of the Booths). If he has

wholly repented before his Master, the letters are torn; if he has not, the letters are sent from the

King’s house and given to the punishing angel for the judgment to be executed. After the letters

are handed out, they return no more to the King’s house, AND THE JUDGMENT WRITTEN IN THEM

MUST BE EXECUTED.

מִנֵּיהּ , הָא וַדַּאי $ דְּמִתְעַבְרָ $ עִמֵּיהּ , כֵּיוָ $ אִתְעֲבָרוּ מִנֵּיהּ , וְלָא מִשְׁתַּכְּחִי $ צוּלְמִי $ 205 . כְּדֵי

$ כַּסָּא דְמוֹתָא. וּבְהַהוּא לֵילְיָא דְּחַגָּא בַּתְרָאָה, סַנְטֵירִי טוּפְסְקָא דְמַלְכָּא יַעֲבֹֹֹֹר עֲלֵיהּ , וְיִטְעוֹ

$ בְּהוֹ יָדֵי, וְאִי מִשְׁתַּכְּחִי $ , וְלָא מִשְׁתַּכְּחִי $ מִתְעַבְרָ $ , צוּלְמִי $ , בָּתַר דְּנַטְלֵי לוֹ $ נָטְלִי $ , ופִתְקִי $ זְמִינִי

, וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא $ , בִּגְרִיעוּתָא דִּלְהוֹ $ בִּישִׁי $ בְּהוֹ יָדֵי, דִּינָא גְרִיעָא, אוֹ יַעֲבֹֹֹֹר עֲלוֹי דִּינָא מַרְעִי

לְהָא.

205. Then, the images are gone and do not abide with him. Once they are gone from him, the

King’s punishment comes upon him, and he tastes the cup of death. On the night of the last

festival, THE EIGHTH DAY OF SUKKOT, the executioners are ready and receive the letters. After

they do, the images are gone and cannot be with them. If THE SHADOWS are with him, no

judgment comes upon him, nor evil illnesses THAT COME when the shadows are flawed, as we

already explained elsewhere.

206 . וּבְסִפְרֵי קַדְמָאֵי אַמְרֵי יַתִּיר, כַּד רֵישָׁא אִגְרַע, וְיִשְׁתַּכַּח גּוּפָא, בְּרֵיהּ , אוֹ אִנְתְתֵיהּ ,

יִשְׁתַּכָּח ו, וְהוּא יִסְתַּלֵּק. וְה"מ, כַּד לָא אַהֲדַר כָּל הַהוּא זִמְנָא בִּתְיוּבְתָּא, אֲבָל אִי אַהֲדַר, טַעֲמָא

, וְיִתְּסֵי. דְמוֹתָא יִטְעַ

206. In ancient books, this is explained further, When the head of his shadow is missing but the

body is not, it indicates that his child or wife will survive but he will pass away. This is true as

long as he does not repent. If he does, he will only taste death and recover from his illness.

. וְה"מ, כַּד בְּרֵיהּ זְעֵירָא , וְהוּא אִתְקַיֵּי $ סָלְקִי $ 207 . וְאִי גוּפָא לָא אִתְחֲזֵי, וְיִשְׁתַּכַּח רֵישָׁא, אִינוּ

בִּרְשׁוּתֵיהּ .

207. If the body OF HIS SHADOW will not be seen, but only the head, HIS FAMILY WILL DIE and he

will stay alive. This is true as long as he is responsible for his small child.

עֲלֵיהּ . עָרַק צוּלְמָא וְאַהֲדַר, $ רָדְפִי $ . רַגְלוֹי, מַרְעִי $ 208 . וְאִי יְדוֹי פְּגִימ ו, עֲבִידְתָּא דִידוֹי פְּגִימִי

$ עֶרֶב, וְהַאי כַּד נָהֲרָא סִיהֲרָא, וְלֵילְיָא אִתְתַּקַּ $ עָרַק וְאַהֲדַר, עֲלֵיהּ כְּתִיב, בַּבֹֹֹֹּ קֶר תֹֹּ אמַר מִי יִתֵּ

בִּנְהוֹרָא.

208. If the hands OF THE SHADOW are flawed, IT IS AN INDICATION THAT the works of his hands

will deteriorate, and if his legs ARE FLAWED, IT IS AN INDICATION THAT illnesses pursue him. If

the shadow flees and returns, then flees and returns again, it is said of him, “In the morning you

shall say, ‘Would it were evening’” (Devarim 28:67). This is true only when the moon shines and

the night is diffused with her light, WHEN HE CHECKS HIS SHADOW.

209 . אֲבָל זַכָּאֵי חֲסִידֵי, בְּכָל יוֹמָא וְיוֹמָא מִסְתַּכְּלֵי בְּלִבַּיְיה ו, כְּאִלּוּ הַהוּא יוֹמָא מִסְתַּלְּקֵי

, $ לְמִלָּה אָחֳרָא, זַכָּאָה חוּלְקֵהוֹ $ , וְלָא יִצְטָרְכוּ $ תְּיוּבְתָּא שְׁלֵימָתָא קַמֵּי מָארֵיהוֹ $ מֵעַלְמָא, וְעָבְדִי

, וּבְעַלְמָא דְאָתֵי. $ בְּעַלְמָא דֵי

209. But the righteous and the pious search in their hearts every day as if on this very day they

are to pass away from the world, and they repent wholly before their Master. They have need of

nothing else, NAMELY CHECKING THEIR SHADOW OR THE LIKE OF IT. Happy is their portion in this

world and in the World to Come.

עוֹבָדֵי דְאִיהוּ $ עוֹבָדֵי מַלְכָּא קַדִּישָׁא, דְּהָא בְּאִינוּ $ 210 . תָּא חֲזֵי כָּל הַנִּקְרָא בִּשְׁמִי, כַּמָּה עִלָּאִי

לְתַתָּא, וְעָבְדֵי בְּהוֹ עוֹבָדָא, $ לוֹ $ דִּלְעֵילָא, וְכַד נָטְלִי $ עִלָּאִי $ בְּמִ לי $ עָבֵיד לְתַתָּא, קָטֵיר לוֹ

אֶרֶז, וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא מִלֵּי. + אֵזוֹבָא, עֵ $ אִתְעַר הַהוּא עוֹבָדָא דִלְעֵילָא דְּקָטֵיר בָּהּ , כְּגוֹ

210. Come and see “every one that is called by My name” (Yeshayah 43:7). How exalted are

the worshipers of the Holy King, for their actions below connect them to the higher things above,

MEANING, TO THEIR ROOTS. FOR EACH THING BELOW IN THE WORLD HAS A ROOT ABOVE IN

HIGHER WORLDS. When they are taken down and act by them, the action above, THEIR ROOT IN

HIGHER WORLDS, AWAKENS in accordance with it. This is like the hyssop and the cedar wood

THE TORAH COMMANDS HIM WHO IS PURIFIED TO USE, as we already explained.
